After our visit to the bridge we went to the Tiger Temple. It's a Buddhist Temple where they have a lot of different wild animals, including tigers which get to walk around the grounds once a day with the Monks and tourists. Luckily, they are on leashes so it's not as frightening, however, you have to sign a waiver before they let you in saying that if you are mauled you will not sue the temple. I wonder how often that happens...?

We had a lot of fun seeing the animals. They have wild boar, deer, monkeys and tigers. They also have some tamer animals like cows and peacocks. :) There were a lot of tourists there so it wasn't quite what we were expecting but we got to see and pet the tigers so it was worth it! First they let you walk with the tiger. It was really funny because the crowd just follows the tiger as he walks through the forest down to a quarry area... he gets to go at his own speed and stop where ever he wants, (come on... are you going to tell a 400 pound tiger no?) He kept pausing at all the trees and spraying them, sometimes hitting people in the crowd! When it was my turn we came up to a tree and he started backing towards it so I got out of his way fast!

After the walk, they bring 20 tigers out into a quarry area for people to see and take pictures with. Five of them were not on chains so they made the crowd stand in a blocked off area in case one of the tigers decided to bolt. If you paid extra you even got to take a picture with the tigers head in your lap! We didn't opt for this choice because the tiger who was posing seemed a little agitated. :) He jerked his head up and stared at one tourists which really freaked her out!
